Rais Ali Delvari (1891-1915) was an Iranian nationalist and military commander who played a significant role in the Persian Constitutional Revolution. He was born in the southern province of Bushehr and joined the Constitutional forces at a young age.
As a military commander, Delvari won numerous battles against the Russian and British colonial forces and was seen as a brave and inspirational leader by his soldiers. He also worked to improve the lives of the people in his region, building schools and supporting local businesses.
During World War I, Delvari led a resistance against the occupying British forces in Bushehr and succeeded in driving them out of the region for a short period of time. However, he was eventually captured and executed by the British in 1915 at the age of 24.
Delvari remains a symbol of Iranian patriotism and resistance against foreign domination, and his legacy has been celebrated in literature, poetry and music. The town of Delvar in Bushehr province is named after him, and there is a museum dedicated to his life and achievements.
